The Barclay’s Women’s Super League returns this weekend, and BBC and Sky Sports will once more cover live matches every weekend.
The BBC’s reach alone means there will likely be more live viewers of the women’s game throughout the season than the men’s.
The presence of so many Irish stars in the Super League and the championship is evidenced by their strong turnout in the cool launch video for the League released this week.
See if you can spot Katie McCabe, Chloe Mustaki, Courtney Brosnan and others in the video below.
To accompany the launch, Sky Sports has revealed research showing that 88% of the population believe that watching female athletes on TV inspires young women to play sport.
49% of the 18-24 year olds in the survey also said they would buy a fashion item worn by one of the players.
In partnership with Allianz, Sport for Business will hold the 2024 Sport for Business Sport for Social Good Conference on Thursday, October 24th. This is one of several events currently planned for the remainder of 2024.
