A Belfast company that provides the technology to manage the GAA has raised €550,000 from a Whiterock Capital Partners and is aiming for a further €2 million investment to capitalise on their signing a new partnership programme with Microsoft.
Servasport manage and streamline the GAA’s communication and management systems from grassroots local members right through to the senior executive team in Croke Park.
This includes the systems that handle membership processes, events, payments, disciplinary records and procedures, competitions, referee administration, player transfers, insurance, fixtures and results.
The GAA solution alone supports over 1.5 million people, 11,000 venues, and around 400,000 fixtures and events each year.
It also provided support technology for the World Fire and Police Games held in Northern Ireland and for the PDC World Darts Championship.
“The investment is a real endorsement of our team and our strategy,” said Ronan Corr, founder and CEO of Servasport.
“WhiteRock , along with Ulster Bank, Invest NI and Microsoft share the same belief and ambition for the company and have been fantastic in helping drive the business forward.”
“We can now confidently look forward to attracting new investment partners as part our forthcoming financing round.”
“Servasport have an impressive track record and now have an exciting opportunity to establish themselves globally through the support of Microsoft as a strategic partner,” added Paul Millar of WhiteRock Capital Partners.
Over the past eighteen months, Servasport has forged a strategic relationship with Microsoft, who have been providing hands on technical and operational support to help transform it into a global leader in their sector.
The company has been selected to join the Microsoft VIP Partner Programme, meaning that the Servasport platform will now be marketed through the Microsoft Global Sales Network.
The system used by the GAA is served through the cloud and accessible by all clubs and GAA members.
