Sport for Business is pleased to publish our annual list of 50 Influential Women in Irish Sport.

We are delighted to be once again supported in this initiative by Liberty Insurance, sponsors of the All Ireland Camogie Championship and longtime backers of Women in Sport in Ireland.

This project began back in 2014 in response to a comment that we would be lucky to name 20 Women that played an influential role in Irish sport.

It was never about Women’s sport, it is about the influence that women are wielding across all sport.

It has been harder than ever this year to narrow down the list to those published below, all of whose profiles can be read on our site and are published in a commemorative booklet marking our Annual Women in Sport Conference at RTÉ on December 5th.

In 2019 we will seek to address that wider recognition of the many more who were nominated and who fully deserve to be applauded for the work they do in making it normal for Women to be involved in every level of sport.

For 2018 though here are those Women of Influence.  We salute each and every one of you for what you do.
