Marie Smyth is the Head of Venue Business at Croke Park Stadium and the sixth new entry on this year’s list of 50 Women of Influence in Irish Sport.

Aside from the general contribution she makes to the stadium’s senior leadership team, she is responsible for the leading and shaping the hospitality, food and beverage experience on many of the biggest days in the Irish sporting calendar.

She is also responsible for managing and driving revenue across the Croke Park Meetings and Entertainment, Premium, Suites and Hospitality areas, a key strategic necessity for the GAA as they seek to repurpose 83% of all commercial monies made back into overarching participation and development goals.

In 2024 she played a key role in delivery of the redeveloped hospitality and meetings space in the Cusack Stand.

She has spent her career in the travel and tourism sector since gaining a degree in Culinary Arts from TU Dublin followed by a Masters in Tourism Management.
