The 2014 programme is sponsored under the brand of the Herald newspaper where the Leinster Rugby supplement has been published each Friday up until the end of this season.
From next year that will switch to the higher circulation Irish Independent, at least in the Leinster catchment area, but for the time being at least the sister ‘later day’ paper retains branding of the camps.
There will be 21 in total across Dublin, Kildare, Meath, Wexford, Kilkenny and elsewhere throughout the province.
They wil run from 0930 to 1330 Monday to Friday and will feature ‘drop in’ visits from players on the Leinster Squad as well as guidance from the Leinster coaching team. The camps are open to boys and girls aged between six and twelve.
There is an early bird cost of €70 prior to June 6th after which the cost rises to €89. As well as the coaching and meeting Leinster players, each child will receive a Canterbury of New Zealand pack including a T-Shirt, a ball, a boot bag and a water bottle. They will also get one free junior ticket to a selected Leinster game.
If you are involved in providing, sponsoring or supporting youth sport, you should join us for The Business of Youth Sport, taking place in Dublin on Thursday, June 12th.
The half day conference will cover three phases of primary school, teenage and post-primary age, and will explore how sport, education and business are tackling participation in sport among children.

Five Leinster players were on hand as the programme was launched at Dublin’s Holly Park school on Wednesday.
“This is a great way for kids to learn what it’s like to be part of the Leinster culture and get expert skills training in a fun environment, said Rob Kearney.
“The Leinster players love being involved in these camps. It’s a great chance for us to meet supporters and, who knows, maybe see future Leinster stars in the making”.
“We are delighted to launch another year of our Herald Leinster Rugby Summer Camps,” added Elma Beirne, Elma Beirne, Domestic Marketing Executive at Leinster Rugby.
“Every Summer The Herald Camps bring new coaching ideas and techniques to the table following a look back on previous camps and this year is no different. I know that the coaches are looking forward to meeting this year’s players in 21 venues across the province.”
