This is the third year of the challenge which climbed from 55 to 70 companies participating last year. Among those to have signed up already for this year’s challenge are Dublin Institute of Technology, the Irish Times, The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland and the FAI.
There is an awards ceremony at the end of the ‘adventure’ and prizes for the winning companies across a number of different categories include workplace visits from the Irish Heart Foundation and Wheelworx.
You can register your company to take part in the challenge here. The Sports Council microsite set up for the challenge has a range of tips and ideas on how to get your workplace motivated and active.
Sport for Business is working with a number of member companies to help plan how they can engage their own workplace with sporting activity.
It is also entering into the spirit of getting active itself during the month and CEO Rob Hartnett will be looking to complete a personal ‘decathlon’ of fitness and sporting activity over the course of the month. We will keep an online diary of how things are progressing…
Sport for Business works with major companies from Aer Lingus and Accenture to Ulster Bank and UCD, and with organisations like the GAA, the Government and the Irish Sports Council to discover ways that sport and business can work closer together and gain a mutual benefit. Find out today how we might be able to work with your organisation.
