CROSS Rugby Legends Cycle Photocall

The 2015 CROSS Atlantic 1000 is a charity cycle led by former Irish international and Lion Paul Wallace raising funds for cancer research at Trinity College, Dublin.

It will take place for the fourth year this 5th to 11th September and will take in 1000 kilometres of the Wild Atlantic Way from Skibbereen in West Cork to the hills of Donegal.

200 cyclists will take part in a bid to raise €150,000 for the charity.  Among them are expected to be TV3 Rugby World Cup anchor Matt Cooper and a host of international rugby stars.  In the past these have included Serge Betsen, Colin Charvis and David Campese.

Along seven stages the cyclists will visit schools and communities raising awareness of cancer and the research that is going in to find a cure.

The event is being supported by Lifes2Good, Enterprise Car Rental, Tourism Ireland and a host of other sponsors and supply partners.
