Mason Alexander Sports Is a major new player in the sports recruitment industry and has been launched this week bringing together a wealth of experience in recruitment with a strong sports network.

The new offering is part of the successful Mason Alexander company and is headed up by former professional and Irish Davis Cup tennis player James Cluskey who became tennis coach to Richard Branson on Neckar Island post retirement.

Cluskey is working closely with Irish rugby international and Chairman of Mason Alexander Rob Kearney and sports management and marketing specialist David McHugh.

“The sports recruitment industry in Ireland is underserviced,” said Cluskey speaking yesterday to Sport for Business.

“We are fusing our wealth of experience in recruitment with our strong sports network to lead the way in sports recruitment.”

“We believe in the power of transitioning elite athletes into the workplace. We will leverage our extensive network to help place elite athletes into thriving companies.”

The new Sports Recruitment offering will help individuals, brands, rights holders and agencies to source the best available talent in the market.

“Recruitment is people orientated and we believe that we have the best people in our network to fuel the growing sports industry.”

“We work with global sporting organizations to supply the best talent and with individual athletes on their career transition from professional sport into full time employment.”

Rob Kearney and Dave McHugh both spoke at Sport for Business’s Partners ’17 event this year while James Cluskey joined us at our Digital Sport event in 2015 talking about the growth of crowdfunding for athletes with Pledge Sports.
