We are live this morning at the latest in our series of Sport for Business Breakfasts.
Today we look at the transition of sporting stars from a life on the pitch or in the ring to what happens after the cheers have died down.
What are the skills that they are best able to transfer into a world of work and what are the areas of preparation for the next stage that are most important and most often ignored until too late?
We are hosting this morning in partnership with Mason Alexander, one of the leading recruitment agencies working across all sectors but specialising now with a separate sports division under former international tennis star James Cluskey.
We will be joined by former World Boxing Champion Andy Lee, Grand Slam rugby winner Gordon D’Arcy and Irelan’s most capped international, in Cricket and Hockey, Nikki Symmons who now works for the International Hockey Federation in Lausanne but has flown back to join us for the morning.
The discussion between our three panellists will be hosted by David McHugh of LineUp Sports.
Watch out for updates on social media using the hashtag #SportsTransition and we will have a report on the morning up later in the day as well as stories from Cricket and Hockey and all the news from the commercial world of Irish Sport.
