Rugby is a crowded space for sponsorship, particularly in Ireland with its popularity among the business community remaining at an all-time high.

This means there will be some natural bumping up against each other and the latest official partner to come on board with Pro14 Rugby as an official Final Series partner promises just that.

The O’Callaghan Collection has been named as the Official Hotel Partner for the Guinness PRO14 Final Series.

The Alex Hotel will now be used by one of the Finalist teams ahead of the big climax to the season at the Aviva Stadium on May 26th.

That is unlikely to be Leinster, current favourites to win the title, as they have an existing partnership with the Intercontinental Hotel on their and the Aviva Stadium doorstep.

Leinster will need to get past the winner of this weekend’s clash between Munster and Edinburgh while the other finalist will come from one of Glasgow Warriors, Scarlets or Toyota Cheetahs.

“We are delighted that the O’Callaghan Collection have joined us for the Guinness PRO14 Final Series,” said Pro14 Rugby Commercial Director Dermot Rigley.

“To have a high-quality family-run hotel group in keeping with what will be an exciting finale to the season is a great addition to our group of Final Series partners.”

These include Honda, The Times and Sunday Times, ROS Nutrition and Chopped.

The O’Callaghan Collection Hotels have undergone a major refurbishment and investment of €30 million in recent times.

“Each of our hotels offers unique, stylish surroundings and guest experiences. We believe that the Guinness PRO14 Final Series offers rugby fans a similar unique experience and that is why we are very excited to come on board this year to be part of what promises to be a thrilling finale to a fantastic year of rugby.”
