The Irish Football Association, Ulster Rugby and the GAA have come together to support the Belfast Interface Games, a programme of cross community, multi sport games for 9-13 year old kids in the city during July and August.
The camps are promoted by Peace Players International and supported under the Belfast PEACE III Plan by the European Union’s “European Regional Development Fund”
The Belfast Interface Games will feature the Game of Three Halves, which incorporates rugby, soccer and Gaelic football, as well as community relations activities.
The initiative aims to promote respect for diversity in a fun and safe environment while introducing young people to the three different sports.
“Sport is a great tool for promoting good relations and this work further supports our existing Football For All programme which is making a positive difference in the community across Northern Ireland.” said Irish FA president Jim Shaw.
