Connacht Rugby had initially faced into the opening month of the season with a degree of trepidation but they lie third in their Guinness PRO14 Conference and off the pitch, they have installed temporary terracing for this weekend’s visit of Leinster.
It was billed as the Month of Champions with Glasgow, Scarlets and Leinster all travelling west, as well as Zebre, and to emerge with two wins has been a promising start.
It has generated a buzz around the Racecourse Ground and with the first of the inter provincial clashed looming the decision was taken to expand the number of tickets available to fans.
Leinster came to Galway on the last day of the regular campaign last season and were handed a 47-10 beating that sent John Muldoon into retirement.
Revenge will be on their minds and the Main Stand, Enclosure and the Grant Thornton Stand are all sold out so the temporary facilities are the only ones available.
The match will also be shown live on TG4 and will get underway at 5:15 PM on Saturday.
