The Conrad Hotel in Dublin has signed a three year deal to become the official hotel to Leinster Rugby.  It is the largest sponsorship undertaken by the five star venue on Earlsfort Terrace and the value of the deal, which is all in a direct cash injection runs to six figures.
The Conrad will be the venue of choice for Leinster Rugby meetings and events.  It will feature in pitch side advertising at the RDS and the Aviva Stadium, in match day programmes, online and through the Leinster Blue Benefits, the loyalty club for fans.
The hotel will also work with Leinster on offers to attract fans to the venue and will build specific social media campaigns to build awareness of the brand and draw revenue to the hotel.  It will also host visiting teams and Leinster will stay in Conrad or Hilton Group properties while the team is on the road.
“The Conrad has a great relationship with sport through hosting the All Blacks and Springboks on Irish Tours and playing host last weekend to the Navy College Football team and supporters during their stay for the Emerald Isle Classic.” said General Manager Martin Mangan, speaking to Sport for Business at the sponsorship announcement.
“2012 has seen a rise in business on 2011 and 2010 and we believe that Dublin has turned the corner on the worst of the downturn.”
“This investment in a brand whose fans fit our profile, whose team is a real world leader and whose reach spreads beyond Dublin to the rest of Ireland and Europe is a bold statement but one we believe will reap awareness as well as revenue benefit for the hotel.”
“Having a brand with the quality of the Conrad within our sponsor portfolio is a great asset for the club,” said Leinster Commercial Manager Keira Kennedy. “We are looking forward to a very successful partnership and rewarding our followers with some exciting promotions and benefits throughout the season.
