On Saturday morning though the boot was on the other foot as Japan tore down the aura of confidece that a single win over Scotland had built up six days earlier.
Now we are in a battle to qualify for the Quarter Final as opposed to planning to coast towards a meeting with South Africa.
If Japan beat Samoa and Scotland, as they looked fully capable of at the weekend, then at best we will be heading for a showdown with New Zealand.
It makes Thursday morning’s game with Russia a lot more of a must see game howver, and we have just the way to watch it.
Sport for Business is partnering with Salesforce to offer Sport for Business Members an opportunity to watch the game in a way that you have probably never done but which is a pointer to how sport will be consumed in the future.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud will showcase the RWC Social Media Tracker – a real-time command centre displaying the top conversations, topics, hashtags and more around the game.
Using the tracker, you can follow along to
– Real time comments and social posts about the game and the RWC
– Understand what teams, brands and products are leading the RWC conversations
– Watch trends evolve leading up to, during and after the games
If you are involved in looking to secure a share of social voice this is a great opportunity to experience what the future will look like, possibly for your brand or your sport.
