It was, of course, we think, a slip of the tongue.
RTÉ’s Nine O’Clock News last night finished with a piece about the nonagenarian Micheál O’Muircheartaigh celebrating his birthday.
GAA president John Horan was said by Eileen Dunne to have “paid tribute to the broadcaster, sending witches on behalf of the GAA, he described Micheál as a national institution.”
It gave us a giggle.
This is some way for the GAA to mark #MichealOMuircheartaigh 90th birthday. Listen carefully… pic.twitter.com/PybeV9TjV1
