Each Monday we capture the moments of the sporting weekend that will build over time to a way of capturing the diversity of our sporting passions…

The GAA club scene has never been given such prominence and even if there are no spectators allowed in the grounds, streaming and social media as well as enhance coverage of games on RTÉ and TG4 has seen it adopt a higher profile than has ever been the case.

Here are some of the highlights from this weekend…

This was the moment that the rules of a tournament saw Novak Djokovic expelled from the US Open for hitting a ball at an official.

The rules are there to promote good behaviour on the court and certainly are of merit but this hardly looked like a deliberate act…

And finally, we have long been champions of enhanced coverage of Women in Sport and on Saturday we were struck by the Daily Telegraph in England producing an 8-page pullout promoting the Women’s Super League in football.

It just goes to show that with the will to promote, there is a demand.
