Dublin GAA is returning to Croke Park for the Allianz League this year and will generate a substantial increase in attendance and revenue from the no fewer than five football and one hurling fixture between February and March.
The Spring Series has proved popular since it was first introduced in 2011.  That year over 100,000 attended four fixtures while last year’s programme only had three.  The number this year is boosted by Kildare consenting to play their home fixture against Dublin at the venue as well.

[ismember]The other Dublin matches are against Cork on Saturday February 2nd, Mayo on Saturday March 2nd, Tyrone on Saturday March 16th in a double header with the Hurlers against Limerick and against Down on Saturday March 24th.
All matches apart from the Kildare fixture on Sunday March 10th will be played under floodlights.
These fixtures give a major boost to the profile of the Allianz National Leagues and are a major source of revenue for the game at a time of year when Rugby is to the fore with the RBS Six Nations tournament.
Ticket prices are very competitive with a five event package available at €50 for stand tickets, €35 for Hill 16 and €15 for Juveniles.  Individual match tickets are priced €15, €10 and €5.
The flexibility of the GAA ticketing deal with Tickets.ie means that tickets can be purchased in selected Supervalu and Centra Stores around Dublin and the country, as well as through the usual club, online and ticket office channels.
“Our football team is under new management with Jim Gavin and this brings fresh impetus and interest to the early season games,” said Dublin GAA Chairman Andy Kettle.
“We’re delighted to be back in Croke Park for early season Allianz League activity and looking forward to the onset of the upcoming campaign.”

Each of the evening matches will also have musical acts performing as the occasion is built up to an event with cross cultural appeal.  The Republic of Loose will play on February 2nd and other acts will be announced over the coming weeks.[ismember]
