
There will be three games on the opening weekend. Donegal and Kildare get things underway at 5pm on Saturday, February 2nd before Dublin and Cork, also from Croke Park, at 7pm which will be shown on Setanta Ireland, and Down against Tyrone at the same time on Setanta 1.

[ismember]Eoin McDevitt who has made his name fronting Newstalk’s Off the Ball show will front the coverage from venues around the country and he will be joined by Senan Connell, Darragh O’Sé and Seamus Moynihan as analysts.
Both the GAA and Setanta effectively ruled out the screening of live matches online through County channels last night. Setanta have the live rights to the League and suggestions that the newly launched Armagh TV might follow on from the live stream of a recent McKenna Cup game were thought to be ‘highly unlikely’.
Last year Setanta broadcast streamed coverage of key games on a pay per view basis to users outside of Ireland where the games were shown live on rte.ie; the US, Canada and Australia where other rights deals were in place.
The addition of online rights to games will be an interesting part of the ongoing discussion on the GAA broadcast rights which will be up for renewal after this year’s All Ireland Championship matches.

The company has been a frequent advertiser on radio and TV in recent months as it pushes to raise a national profile and distribution network.
The parties have agreed an initial three year term, with a value in the region of €100,000 a year to the County Board. The brand will appear on Kildare County shirts in football and hurling with the first outing likely to be in the Bord na Mona O’Byrne Cup Final against Dublin.
It has been a tough time for meat producers in the past week but this is at least some positive news from within the agri-business sector.[/ismember]
