KPMG announced they were extending their relationship with US tour professional Stacey Lewis. Having been a junior sponsor last year they are now moving from shirt to cap, and positioning the relationship on the same basis as the one they have with Phil Mickelson.
“I’m really proud of my relationship with KPMG and am excited to take it to the next level,” said Lewis who is a five time winner on the Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour.
“I’ve experienced first-hand their culture of professionalism and integrity, focus on being the best, and commitment to the community and diversity.”
“They are also great fans of golf and I look forward to continuing to build strong and meaningful relationships with KPMG’s partners, employees, and clients,” she added, highlighting the main reason how a professional services company like KPMG would gain benefit from associations with sports stars.
The 10th annual KPMG Golf Business Forum will take place at St Andrews in Scotland from June 3rd to 5th.
In another positive move for the sport US fashion giant Tommy Hilfiger is to sponsor the English team playing in next weekend’s World final of the Ladies Golf Cup.
This amateur tournament has teams from England, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Thailand, India and the United Arab Emirates and is expanding again after a 15 year history.
Hilfiger joins Hello Magazine and the Daily Telegraph as major brands association with the tournament. The English team’s profile will be helped by having Chloe Rogers on the team, fresh from an Olympic bronze medal in hockey in 2012.
