Littlewoods Ireland has launched its 2021 partnership with the All Ireland Hurling Championship and shone a further spotlight on Saturday night’s Littlewoods Camogie National League Division One Final.
That game, featuring Galway and Kilkenny will be the first to welcome fans back to Croke Park in over a year and will be televised live on RTÉ for the first time.
Kilkenny siblings Miriam and Padraig Walsh were at the stadium for the Littlewoods Ireland launch yesterday.
Littlewoods will also be streaming Saturday’s Division Two and Three Finals across its social media platforms, an initiative that has significantly increased the visibility of the sport over the past three years.
Its high profile TV ad promoting the sponsorship of the Camogie League has been running consistently in RTÉ coverage of the Euro Championships.
Armagh and Wexford contest the Division 3 Final at 2:30 PM and Down and Antrim go up against each other in an all Unletr clash for Division 2 at 5 PM.
In the Hurling Championship, the interest focused on Walsh’s thoughts about the five-year gap since the County last tasted All Ireland glory.
“Look, every year we go out, we want to get as far as we can – your aim is to win an All-Ireland. It’s obviously very competitive at the moment,” he said.
“There are positive things to take from the last few years as well.”
“It’s just trying to improve our game and trying to drive it on and get to that further step.”
