RTÉ Sport announced details of its biggest and most comprehensive Paralympic Games coverage to date across TV, radio and online. The national broadcaster is more than doubling the coverage it showed from Rio in 2016.

Off the back of a hugely successful Tokyo 2020, RTÉ Sport will again bring Irish audiences all the action, reaction and analysis beginning on Tuesday 24 August across RTÉ.

Daráine Mulvihill will host live action from Tokyo every morning and Evanne Ní Chuilinn will take over in the presenter’s chair for nightly highlights.

The two anchor presenters will be joined by a rotating cast of top panellists, including sports journalist Joanne O’Riordan who made her pitch to be included at the 2019 Sport for Business Women in Sport Conference in the very studio where she will now be broadcasting from.

Paralympians Mark Rohan, Catherine Walsh, John Fulham, Darragh McDonald, Orla Barry, James Scully and Paul Keogan will all be involved as specific sports and Irish competitors come to the fore, as well as Ireland’s first Blade Runner, Alex Lee and Olympians Natalya Coyle and David Gillick, fresh back from Tokyo.

Eamonn Horan, Siobhan Madigan and Darren Frehill will report from Tokyo for RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player as well as providing updates on RTÉ Radio 1 including into the Morning Ireland, Today with Claire Byrne, and News At One programmes.

RTÉ 2FM’s Game On will wrap up the day’s news, reports and action from Tokyo while at the weekend on Radio 1, Saturday Sport and Sunday Sport will have more coverage and analysis.

RTÉ Sport online and the RTÉ News app will have all the up-to-the-minute news from the Games with reaction from Irish athletes as it happens every day.

Sport for Business will carry a Daily Diary from the games, in partnership with Allianz, and we will do our part to ensure that visibility is maintained at the same level as was the case for the Olympic Games.

Paralympics Ireland team for Tokyo consists of 29 athletes across nine individual sports.
