Congratulations to two of our Sport for Business members who emerged victorious at last week’s Event Industry Awards, staged, appropriately enough after the year that was in it, in a virtual setting.
The Award for the Best Virtual Public Event went to Titan experience for the Leaders Lounge event which Sport for Business was pleased to be partners in.
Drawing on talent from around the world including Rassie Erasmus from South Africa and Channelle McCoy dialling in from Lambourn in England, the event was streamed live from Virgin Media’s studios in Dublin to an audience that was as global as the stars who shared their own secrets on leadership.
The event also featured Paul McGinley who conceived the idea with Eoin Conroy of Titan back in 2020 and put on the first event that year with Jim Gavin, Fiona Coghlan, Stuart Lancaster and Lisa Fallon.
Plans are already advancing for the third edition and this award was a nice recognition for the production team at titan who put in the hard yards to bring it to life.
Also in the Winners Enclosure were Fuel HQ for their work on the Paypal All Together Gathering that won the best Virtual Corporate Event.
The entire industry had to adapt to working in a human-free zone during the months of pandemic lockdown but what emerged was so good that it will have changed the way that events are set up, broadening the potential audience and creating a different kind of experience for those who will re-engage with in-person over the coming months and for those who will save time and carbon by attending in a different way.
It is a pleasure to work alongside two companies that are clearly on the cutting edge. Well done to both.
