Cricket Ireland is seeking to appoint three new independent directors ahead of its Annual General Meeting on May 1st.
The three roles are being sought in three key specific areas.
The first is someone with senior-level professional experience in policy, advocacy or political representation, ideally within the Irish sporting landscape; the second should have experience of broadcast and digital media and the third should have professional legal expertise with a governance specialism.
In light of the Government’s push to have gender-balanced leadership groups by the end of 2023, the call is in the first instance for female leaders to put themselves forward.
The initial term of service will be for three years with a maximum of one additional term.
It is estimated that the commitment will be for something in the region of 15-20 days per year.
Ireland’s men’s team has qualified this week for the T20 Cricket World Cup in Australia and Cricket Ireland is bidding to stage part of the 2030 Cricket World Cup on this island.
