Sport for Business is live in Belfast this morning for a look into the future at the world of Sport in the City.
The conference is our first major event looking at this area of sport and physical activity and we are very much looking forward to seeing old friends from across Northern Ireland and plenty who are traveling up from south of the border to explore this important area of sport, activity, and engagement.
It all takes place on the new Belfast Campus of Ulster University, right in the heart of the city and our first panel discussion will look at how Belfast is embracing the need to provide urban sporting facilities and spaces.
Amanda Castray will be joined by Simon Hamilton of Belfast Chamber of Trade and Commerce; Anthony Best of Lacuna Developments and Jamie Eyre of Titanic Quarter.
After a presentation on The changes that are driving the growth of Urban sport by Rob Hartnett of Sport for Business, he will be joined by Jonny Petrie of Ulster Rugby, Ashley Hunter of the Northern Ireland Sports Forum, and Louise Burke, Director of Participation at Sport Ireland to explore the ways in which more traditional sport is getting involved in Sport in our Cities.
There will be demonstrations of some of the sports that are creating noise around the student population coming into the city and plenty more.
