Shamrock Rovers has announced a new sponsorship agreement with Mascot Workwear to become the new Principal Partner and Front of Shirt Sponsor of the club’s Men’s first team for 2023.

The Denmark-based company is well established in Ireland and has one of the widest and largest ranges of workwear on the market.

The new partnership replaces that with 888 Bet which had been on the shirt front for the past two title-winning campaigns but which expired at the end of last season and had caused some unease among fans.

“2023 is set to be another momentous year for the club and we are very happy that Mascot Workwear will join us on that journey,” said Shamrock Rovers CEO Denis Donohoe.

“From our first conversations with the brand, it has been clear that we share values and a view of the type of partnership we are both seeking. I look forward to a close cooperation throughout the year.”

“Shamrock Rovers have a winning and professional culture and share many of the same values as we do at Mascot Workwear, added CEO and Owner, Michael Grosbøl.

“A partnership opportunity, with a club like Shamrock Rovers, is not something that becomes available very often. With a record 20 League of Ireland titles and 25 FAI cups, we are delighted to have agreed on a commercial deal that strongly benefits both parties.”

Sport for Business Perspective:

There is a consistent distancing taking place from overt partnerships with betting and gaming companies, ahead of new legislation likely to be introduced in Ireland and Britain over the coming year.  For the reigning SSE Airtricity Champions to move on this is a positive statement for the values of the league and its representation in European competition.

Sport for Business will be carrying a full preview of the commercial partnerships in place across the League of Ireland clubs ahead of next month’s start of the season.
