Newstalk’s Off The Ball has grown its weekday evening audience by 5,000 to stand at 48,000 in the latest figures to be published as part of the Joint National Listener Research.
Off The Ball on Saturday with 128,000 listeners and Sunday with 140,000 also delivered strong audience numbers showing the resilient power of sport to attract audiences regardless of the medium.
Morning Ireland on RTÉ Radio One retained its position as the most listened to show in the country with 433,000 tuning in, though that does represent a drop of 17,000. 14,000 more listeners than in the last annual equivalent quarterly figures tuned into Newstalk Breakfast with Shane Coleman and Ciara Kelly.
28.1 percent of listeners aged 15-24 tuned into radio on a daily basis, as opposed to 45.1 percent of the overall adult audience.
