Clubber TV will broadcast the two-Test series between Ireland Men and Sri Lanka Men in the Republic of Ireland.

The Irish-based online broadcaster – that can be accessed via www.clubber.ie – has a ‘Test Match Pass’ for €9.99, or €3.99 for a one-day pass. Those fans who purchased an Annual Pass for the recent Bangladesh series will automatically have access as part of their package.

The service has broadcast all the action from the recent tour of Bangladesh, adding to the strong presence it is building up in Gaelic Games and other sports. This week alone it has shown live action from all four provinces at Minor and U20 level that would not otherwise have been accesible to fans other than going to the ground.

“We are delighted to be covering Ireland’s crucial tour of Sri Lanka,” said Clubber co-founder and CEO Jimmy Doyle.

“It’s an important step in our evolution as a broadcasting company as we look to build a portfolio of sports going forward. We are ambitious about delivering a high-quality, multi-sport experience for viewers, working with the national cricket team is a key part of our plans over the coming years.”

“This deal is significant for Clubber TV, in partnering up with a Cricket Tour of this calibre,” added fellow co-founder, Dermot Rigley.

“Covering a national team in any sport is a privilege. Being part of the Irish Cricket team’s incredible journey plays into Clubber’s strategy of securing rights for major events that Irish sports fans want to see. This partnership is part of our overall rights acquisition strategy, and we look forward to making more announcements in the coming months with regards to providing great sport for fans on Clubber TV.”
