Today is Judging Day for the Federation of Irish Sport’s Irish Sport Industry Awards.

The ten industry leaders charged with determining this year’s shortlists and winners will meet in Dublin to discuss and debate the merits of almost 100 nominated campaigns, partnerships, businesses and individuals who have made a mark over the last year on the success story that is the Irish Sport industry.

The awards are sponsored this year for the first time by Financial Brokers Ireland and the Awards ceremony will take place on the evening of Thursday, May 25th in the fabulous setting of the Banking Hall at the Westmoreland (formerly Westin) Hotel in Dublin.

This year’s judging panel is once more chaired by Sport for Business CEO Rob Hartnett and is packed with insight and sporting and business knowledge.

Returning to the panel this year are Maeve Buckley of Leading Sport, Jill Downey of Core, Nora Stapleton of Sport Ireland and Kevin Moore of Legacy Communications. Joining us for the first time are Ciaran Medlar of BDO, Patrick Murphy of Branding Sport, Aisling Hubbard of Wicklow Sports Partnership, Alma Birbilaite of Indeed and Brenda O’Donnell of Active Disability Ireland.

The awards have been administered by Clare Louise O’Donoghue of the Federation of Irish Sport and we look forward to sharing the shortlists for each of the nine Open Category awards later on this week.
