Previous results will count for nothing as Galway play host to Cork in the sides’ Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship opener at Kenny Park on Saturday.

The game throws in at 5pm and will be live streamed on the Camogie Association YouTube channel.

Galway won the League Division 1 silverware the last time the sides met seven weeks ago, having also defeated the previously unbeaten Leesiders at Páirc Uí Chaoimh to book their place in the decider.

Cathal Murray and his management team worked wonders to end the Spring in such a fashion, given the glut of big-name players that were unavailable, but the depth of the squad was illustrated by others that flourished given the opportunity.

Galway welcome a Matthew Twomey squad licking their wounds after losing three national finals in a row as well as falling to Waterford in the opening round of their Munster campaign. They have also been rocked by the reported loss of Laura Hayes for the championship with a knee injury.

The Championships will culminate in a triple-header All Ireland Final at Croke Park on Sunday 6th August 2023 and will see teams compete for the Seaghan O’Duffy Cup (Senior), Jack McGrath Cup (Intermediate) and Kathleen Mills Cup (Premier Junior).

The Quarter-Finals will be held on July 8th & 9th with the Senior fixtures the first match of an exciting doubleheader with the All Ireland Hurling Championship Semi-Finals in Croke Park.

The Senior Semi-Finals will be a doubleheader in UPMC Nowlan Park on 22nd July.

RTÉ has reaffirmed its commitment to Camogie coverage with a new multi-year deal. As a result, the 2023 Glen Dimplex All Ireland Senior, Intermediate and Junior finals will be live on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player in a triple-header from Croke Park on Sunday 6th August. The two Senior Semi-Finals from UPMC Nowlan Park and the two Senior Quarter-Finals will also be broadcast live.
