All you can do is give it your all, whether its in the back garden or on the pitch at the biggest stadium in the country.

The girls of Bayside NS came out second best against Rolestown at yesterday’s Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Finals at Croke Park in Dublin, but the memory of taking part will in time wipe out the disappointment of losing.

Allianz have been backing this tournament taking place among national schools across the country for more than three decades and it was included again when the brand stepped up as official partner of the All-Ireland Football Championship, the Camogie Association, the Allianz Leagues and the GAA Museum earlier this year.

The finals days take place in County grounds all over ireland with Croke Park in Dublin and Austin Stack Park in Tralee hosting finals so far this week.

Bus loads of supporters descend on the stands being ushered in and out to make way for the next wave with multiple finals taking place across the pitch at any one time.

The noise and the colour, the excitement and the emotion are among the keenest you will find in Irish sport. If ever you get the opportunity to see it in action, make sure you take it.
