A landmark event celebrating leadership, inclusion and innovation in women’s football will take place next week at the iconic Parliament Buildings, Stormont, in Belfast, as the Northern Ireland Football League, supported by Women in Football, hosts a high-profile evening of discussion and insight.
The gathering, proudly sponsored by MLA Carál Ní Chuilín, will bring together senior leaders from across football and the sports business landscape to explore how the women’s game is evolving on and off the pitch and what is required to drive meaningful, lasting change.
Hosted by Hayley McQueen, the event will feature an in-depth conversation with a panel of influential figures shaping the modern game. The line-up includes Maggie Murphy, Managing Director of Aston Villa Women FC; Nuria Tarré, Chief Marketing Officer at City Football Group; Yvonne Harrison, CEO of Women in Football; and Regan McFarland, Partnerships and Sales Manager with the Northern Ireland Football League.
The discussion will focus on leadership, commercial innovation and inclusion, examining how women are influencing decision-making at the highest levels of football and how organisations can build more diverse, sustainable and future-focused structures. From governance and marketing to fan engagement and partnership development, the session aims to bridge sport and business through lived experience and practical insight.
Women in Football has become a driving force for change across the UK and Ireland, empowering females from all backgrounds with knowledge, expertise and collective support.
Set against the backdrop of Stormont’s Great Hall, the event also reflects the growing recognition of women’s football within civic, political and commercial spheres. By bringing senior voices together in this setting, the evening will underscore the momentum behind the women’s game and the opportunity to accelerate its growth.
The event takes place on Thursday, January 22nd, from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm, with doors opening and refreshments served from 6.30 pm, and is expected to attract leaders from across sport, business and public life for what promises to be a lively and thought-provoking celebration of those redefining the future of Women’s Football.
