Hockey Ireland has announced a new multi-year partnership with Grinds360, which will see the education platform become an official sponsor of Ireland’s underage national teams.
The three-year agreement covers multiple boys’ and girls’ age-grade squads and is designed to support the continued development of emerging talent within the national pathway.
The partnership brings together sport and education in a way that reflects the dual career demands placed on young athletes, aligning academic support with high-performance sporting ambitions.
Hockey Ireland CEO Richard Fahey said the collaboration would play an important role in strengthening the long-term future of the sport.
“We are delighted to welcome Grinds360 as a partner of our underage national teams,” he said. “Their expertise and commitment to student success align strongly with our ambition to develop world-class athletes and build a sustainable future for Irish hockey. This partnership will support our young players as they progress through the pathway.”
Grinds360 Chief Commercial Officer Hugh Brett highlighted the natural alignment between the two organisations, particularly in supporting young people to reach their potential.
“We are proud to partner with Hockey Ireland and support the next generation of Irish hockey players,” he said. “We believe this is a great fit for both Grinds360 and Hockey Ireland, and we look forward to contributing to the development and success of these talented athletes.”
The agreement reflects a growing trend in Irish sport towards partnerships that extend beyond traditional sponsorship, incorporating education, wellbeing, and personal development supports into athlete pathways.
It adds further strength to its underage structures at a time when investment in youth development is increasingly seen as central to long-term international competitiveness.
