The GAA Museum and Bord Gáis Energy have announced the return of the popular GAA Legends Tour Series for 2026, continuing a long-standing partnership that has brought supporters closer to some of the most iconic figures in Gaelic Games.
The series was officially launched at Croke Park by Declan Hannon and Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh, two of the standout names involved in this year’s programme.
Running for more than a decade, the Legends Tours have become a staple of the GAA’s fan engagement calendar, offering a unique behind-the-scenes insight into elite performance and the lived experience of top inter county players. Attendees gain first-hand access to stories from dressing rooms, pre-match build-ups and the realities of high-pressure moments that define careers.
Each tour also includes full access to the GAA Museum, widely regarded as one of Ireland’s leading sporting attractions. Visitors can explore the history of Gaelic games from ancient origins through to the modern era, including exhibitions featuring the Sam Maguire and Liam MacCarthy Cups, the GAA Hall of Fame and the Interactive Games Zone.
This year’s series begins in May, with a strong line-up of inter county stars confirmed to lead tours across the summer. Among those announced are John Small, David Burke, Dickie Murphy, Brian McDonald, alongside Hannon and Ní Mhuircheartaigh, and Grace Walsh.
From a commercial perspective, the initiative highlights Bord Gáis Energy’s continued investment in experiential fan engagement, with the Legends Tours forming part of a broader rewards and loyalty programme offering customers access to tickets for both the tours and major GAA fixtures.
“The Bord Gáis Energy GAA Legends Tours are a great way to bring fans closer to the rich heritage of Gaelic games and to celebrate the stories that mean so much to communities across Ireland,” said Catherine Lonergan, Director of Customer and Commercial at Bord Gáis Energy.
“We’re proud to support experiences like these, which help share the passion of the Legends with fans of all ages.”
GAA President Jarlath Burns added that the tours provide “an unrivalled opportunity to walk and talk” with some of the greatest figures in the games, while Niamh McCoy highlighted the strength of this year’s line-up and the enduring appeal of the series as a flagship attraction at Croke Park.
Booking is now open, with strong demand expected once again for a programme that continues to blend storytelling, heritage and access in a way few sporting experiences can match.
