McKvr has been named as the Exclusive Apparel Partner of the Gaelic Players Association.

The announcement was made at Croke Park, with Armagh footballer Aimee Mackin, Dublin hurler Conor Burke and Antrim Camogie star Róisín McCormick in attendance to mark the new partnership.

The GPA exists to support inter-county players across football, hurling, ladies’ football and camogie, helping them to balance the demands of elite Gaelic Games with life beyond the pitch.

For McKvr, which was founded in Craigavon, Co Armagh, the partnership represents a major step in its growth as a brand and a further strengthening of its place within the Gaelic Games community.

Over the past two decades, McKvr has worked with county boards, clubs and schools across Ireland and the UK. It is already the kit partner of Armagh GAA and Westmeath GAA, has collaborated with leading players including Kerry footballer David Clifford, and was recently announced as the official kit supplier to Team Ireland for the Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, following on from the same role at Paris 2024.

“The GPA does vital work for inter-county players across every code and every county in Ireland,” said Padraic McKeever, Managing Director of McKvr.

“At McKvr, we have always believed that supporting players goes beyond the pitch, and that is exactly what the GPA stands for.”

“We are proud to be their Exclusive Apparel Partner and look forward to playing our part in supporting players across Gaelic Games.”

“We have got to know McKvr over the last number of years, particularly through our mutual involvement in the Plant the Planet Games tree planting trip to Africa,” added Tom Parsons, CEO of the Gaelic Players Association.

“They have taken a keen interest in getting to understand the work the GPA is involved with for our members, and it is clear that they wish to support the welfare and development of inter-county players.

“That makes McKvr a great fit for us. Pun very much intended.”

The company’s jerseys and shorts are made using 100 per cent recycled performance fabric, an approach that aligns with wider moves across the sports apparel sector towards lower-impact production.

The agreement adds another partner to the GPA’s player support network, with the emphasis here on a brand that understands the culture and demands of Gaelic Games, from grassroots through to the inter-county stage.
