Connacht Rugby has named Galway-based HAS Integration as its Official Technology Integration Partner.
The agreement builds on the company’s role in redeveloping Dexcom Stadium, where it delivered audiovisual and smart-technology systems throughout the new Clan Stand.
The installation includes high-definition displays, immersive audio and smart lighting controls. It was designed as a scalable system that can support matchday hospitality, business functions and other events at the stadium.
“Our ambition for Dexcom Stadium is to not only provide a world-class rugby experience on game day, but to build a multi-purpose venue that businesses and fans can enjoy all year round,” said Connacht Rugby Head of Commercial and Marketing Philip Patterson.
“The team at HAS understood that brief from the start, delivering state-of-the-art technology across the stadium. This official partnership is a natural next step.”
HAS Integration Managing Director Stephen Thompson said the company had seen first-hand the ambition behind the redevelopment.
“It has been hugely rewarding to watch that system come to life, supporting both matchday hospitality and year-round events,” he said.
“Becoming an official partner allows us to build on that foundation as Dexcom Stadium grows into one of the leading multi-purpose venues in the West of Ireland.”
Sport for Business Perspective
The partnership is a good example of a supplier relationship evolving into a broader commercial association after the initial work is delivered.
HAS Integration gains a high-profile showcase for its technology, allowing prospective clients to experience its work in a live stadium environment. Connacht Rugby, meanwhile, adds a partner with a direct connection to the ongoing development and commercial use of Dexcom Stadium.
The ambition is to generate revenue from the venue beyond Connacht’s home fixtures. Technology that can quickly adapt the Clan Stand for conferences, hospitality, and corporate events is central to creating a stadium that operates year-round.
