AIB has been unveiled this morning as the sponsor of Indo Sport GAA with Joe Molloy, the Irish Independent’s sports podcast.

The Indo Sport has frequently topped the podcast charts since its launch towards the end of 2024.

Molloy, a seven-time Sports Broadcaster of the Year winner, made waves in the sports media world when he moved from Newstalk and Off The Ball.

The overall GAA sponsorship will also extend to Mediahuis’ other GAA chart-topping podcast, Indo GAA, formerly known as The Throw In.

Listener events, high-impact digital displays, native content, and print insertions will complement the digital audio partnership.

The deal will run for 12 months & was brokered by Core Sponsorship.

“AIB’s tenure as sponsors of Gaelic Games across club, county, and Camogie stretches over three decades, in which we’ve had the privilege of being closely intertwined with the essence of these sports,” said Claire Lynch, media and Connections at AIB.

“The GAA All-Ireland Senior Football Championships and Club Championships are some of #TheToughest competitions in Gaelic Games, and we are delighted to be sponsoring The Indo Sport GAA with Joe Molloy.”

“We are delighted to welcome AIB as our official GAA partner for the year ahead,” added Hughie Devine, Head of Sponsorship at Mediahuis.

“We look forward to driving substantial results for them across our premium GAA podcasts as well as our GAA coverage of all Gaelic Games on Independent.ie and our regional sites.”

“It’s very exciting to work with Mediahuis on new and existing properties across their GAA platform,” concluded Niall Deegan of Core Sponsorship.

The Independent offers top quality journalism, allowing AIB to build upon their longstanding association with GAA and providing fans with premium and engaging coverage.”
