Triathlon Ireland and AIG Insurance have announced a new commercial partnership to help support the sports development.

It is the latest sporting partnership the insurer has in place, adding to relationships with Ladies Gaelic Football, Golf, Tennis, Badminton, Hockey, Basketball and Sport for Business as partner of our 50 Women of Influence.

In addition to being the official insurance partner to Triathlon Ireland, AIG will also be the new club, community and diversity partner to help promote and support the grassroots organisation.

With over 100 Clubs, reaching every corner of Ireland, the Club, Community Diversity Partnership will be at the heart of the Triathlon community.

The new partnership will focus on supporting grassroots participation with a focus on diversity in the sport, something that AIG has been at the forefront in global and Irish sport for the past 10 years.

Triathlon participation in Ireland has made excellent progress over the last number of years spearheaded by a well-run progressive organisation and leadership striving to take Triathlon participation in Ireland to new heights.

“We’re delighted to welcome AIG Insurance as a key partner in our mission to grow triathlon at every level across Ireland,” said Darren Coomes, Triathlon Ireland CEO.

“This partnership goes beyond traditional sponsorship—it’s a commitment to fostering inclusivity, supporting our clubs, and strengthening the community that drives our sport.”

“AIG’s dedication to promoting diversity in sport aligns perfectly with our goals, and their support will be invaluable in reaching new participants and creating accessible, welcoming environments in every corner of the country. We look forward to working together to expand the impact of triathlon as a sport for everyone.”
