Alan Ryan, Owner of Hardman Events and President of Triathlon Ireland, has been elected as Vice President of Triathlon Europe.

The vote took place at the weekend in Istanbul.

“Thank you to Triathlon Ireland for nominating and backing me for this role and to all the federations who have shown faith in me by choosing me,” said Ryan.

“It’s going to a be a challenging but exciting four years, but I look forward to working with Marc and the rest of the Board to do the very best we can.”

“Massive congratulations to Alan,” added Darren Coombes, CEO of Triathlon Ireland.

“It’s a fantastic personal contribution to give so much of your time and energy in a voluntary capacity to help grow triathlon across Europe and deliver for National Federations continent-wide.”

“The new Executive Board can count on the full support and backing of Triathlon Ireland in the work ahead, as you follow a strong tradition of Irish contribution at Europe Triathlon.”

“A strong Europe Triathlon is vital for our athletes across elite, elite para, and age group levels.
