Congratulations to all of our Sport for Business Members who performed with distinction at last night’s All Ireland Marketing Awards.

It has been a week in which the business side of society fully came back out to play and there was a sense of giddy excitement with so many people meeting up again or even meeting for the first time in over two years at last night’s ceremony, yesterday morning’s Sport for Business Women in Sport Conference and at Tuesday night’s Federation of Irish Sport Irish Sport Industry Awards.

The Sponsorship Management Award was one of the most hotly contested with John Gillick of AIG, John Corcoran of Aldi and Sarah Sharkey of Electric Ireland all in contention but when the envelope was opened it was Paddy Carberry of Diageo, a Sport for Business / PwC 30 Under 30 ‘alumni’ who got the nod.

Other winners from our network included:

The National Lottery who picked up two awards for Advertising Campaign and Online Channel Marketing. Well done to Andrew Algeo, Jen Crowe, Melissa Slevin and all the team.

Bank of Ireland won the Integrated Marketing Award.

Energia won Gradam Margaíochta na Gaeilge for Seachtain na Gaeilge.

Lidl Ireland won the Public Relations Awards

Finally, the Corporate Social Responsibility Award was another to be fought out among friends. Paula Muphy of Bank of Ireland, Maire Scully of Electric Ireland, and Maighréad Cremin of SuperValu did stunning work to win deserved shortlisting but it was Valerie Hedin of Allianz for their campaign on the World’s Strongest Women, featured as part of our own Allianz Backed Sport for Social Good event back in February that landed the star prize.

Well done to all that won and all that were in the running.
