Badminton Ireland has signed a broadcast deal with Magnet AerTV which will lead to 17 days of live coverage of the sport in Ireland over the course of the 2012/13 season.
The online broadcast programme gets underway this weekend with the Irish U19 Championship featuring players from the European Circuit, and will include National, Interprovincial and Inter League Finals.
The action will be streamed through the AerTV website which carries a variety of content including all the main terrestrial channels, as well as on the Badminton Ireland website.
The importance of sports content is growing all the time and coverage of events and sports away from the mainstream is coming under closer investigation from broadcasters, online services such as You Tube which is entering into more and more deals to stream live content, and other channels.
Sport for Business will host a Members Round Table for sports bodies, broadcasters and others with an interest in the subject on Tuesday 6th November. If you would like to learn more about this event please contact us today.
