The Ulster Bank GAA Roadshow concluded its nationwide tour with a gathering at Dublin’s Balinteer St John’s clubhouse last night.
The All Ireland Football Championship sponsors secured their commitment to the club level of the sport through events in clubs from Donegal to Wexford.  The past week has seen the roadshow move from Austin Stacks in Tralee, through Na Piarsaigh in Cork to the south Dublin venue last night.
RTE pundit Pat Spillane was part of a panel which included Ger Brennan, Kieran Donaghy and former Mayo star David Brady looking forward to his counties big day out in Croke Park on Sunday week.
The road show also included a kids zone which encouraged younger members from local clubs to show off their skills and get their pictures taken with the Sam Maguire Cup.
Clubs have until October 5th to register for the GAA Force initiative which will award one overall prize of €25,000 and four of €5,000 to clubs for development of facilities within their local communities.  This is one of the largest commercial commitments to clubs in the country and should be high on the agenda of every club management committee.
Sport for Business will shortly be announcing details of a new club initiative aimed at helping sports clubs achieve a better financial position.
