Branding Sport, in partnership with Sport for Business, has launched a new initiative offering one Irish sporting charity, social enterprise, or community and participation-focused organisation the opportunity to receive a full professional rebrand.
‘Fix Up, Look Smart’ is designed to support organisations using sport as a force for good, helping them better communicate their purpose, strengthen engagement, and expand their impact through a stronger visual and strategic identity.
The winning organisation will receive a comprehensive rebrand package from Branding Sport, including a full brand audit and discovery process, a new visual identity, messaging framework, digital and print brand assets, and practical rollout guidance.
Branding Sport has previously delivered identity and branding work for organisations including Boxing Ireland, Squash Ireland, Horse Racing Ireland, and the Olympic Federation of Ireland, alongside a wide range of international projects.
A previous collaboration between Branding Sport and Sport for Business saw Volleyball Ireland win a free rebrand project, leading to the development of what has become one of the most recognisable visual identities in Irish sport.
Patrick Murphy, Managing Director of Branding Sport, said the competition recognises the role that branding can play in helping organisations grow and connect with audiences.
“An effective brand is often under-estimated,” said Patrick Murphy. “In busy charities, social enterprises and sports organisations, you can’t control everything, but you can control the first impression you make through your brand identity. And it can make a difference.”
“We can’t wait to work with a deserving organisation and hopefully help them make an even bigger impact in the future.”
Rob Hartnett of Sport for Business said that strong design and branding are now central to how sporting organisations communicate their story and purpose.
“Design and branding are an increasingly important part of the storytelling arc of any sporting body,” he said. “For organisations working to create social impact through sport, a clear and compelling identity can help attract participants, volunteers, partners and funding support.”
“This initiative is about helping an organisation that is already making a difference to better tell its story and accelerate its impact.”
The competition is open to charities and social enterprises operating through sport, physical activity, or community wellbeing, as well as clubs, organisations, and governing bodies developing initiatives with a clear social impact objective. Applicants must be based in or primarily operating across Ireland.
Submissions should outline the organisation’s work, the impact it makes or could make, the challenges posed by its current branding, and the opportunities a rebrand could unlock. Entries may be submitted in Word, PDF, or PowerPoint format and should not exceed 1,000 words or 10 pages.
Applications should be submitted to info@brandingsport.com by close of business on Friday, June 12th, 2026.
The judging panel will comprise Patrick Murphy of Branding Sport, Rob Hartnett of Sport for Business, Trish Mayon of Swim Ireland, and Social impact leader Michael Darragh MacAuley.
Judging will focus on the clarity of the submission, the organisation’s social impact, the transformational potential of a rebrand, and the commitment to delivering the project successfully.
The shortlist will be announced on July 10th, with the winner revealed on July 30th.
