Mark Brooks has switched codes in Belfast sport by becoming the new Sponsorship and Partnerships Manager with Ulster Rugby.
For the past 11 years, he has been a strong presence on the Northern Ireland sporting scene in a similar role with the Belfast Giants and the Odyssey Trust.
During that time he has overseen the growth of the franchise into being a real force in the European game and a great night out on the ice as part of the SSE Arena.
He will take up his new role with immediate effect as Ulster Rugby looks to be part of the vanguard of a return to play across Irish and international sport.
On Sunday 1,000 fans were allowed into Kingspan Stadium for the Guinness PRO14 clash with Scarlets. It is hoped this number will rise as the UK Government set to restrictions on sporting events in the coming weeks.
Brooks will join an Ulster Rugby set up with a strong sponsorship base led by Kingspan, Bank of Ireland, Kukri, Go Power and openreach.
They also have partnerships with Tobermore, EY, Deloitte, Deep River Rock, Heineken, Danske Bank and Deloitte.
“Mark is a real positive addition to the team,” said Ulster Rugby Head of Commercial, Neil Hanna.
“We have an excellent group of partners who have remained strong beside and behind us through the recent challenging months.”
“It was great to welcome supporters back to Kingspan Stadium at the weekend and we are excited to look ahead now to the seats being filled again when that is possible.”
“Mark will play a key role in maintaining the strong bond that our fans have with Ulster Rugby and our partners have with them.”
