The Camogie Association yesterday unveiled the 2023 Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Camogie Championship Finals with a Captains launch for their Premier Junior, Intermediate and Senior Finals in Croke Park.
The highly anticipated Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Camogie Championship Finals is taking place as a triple-header on Sunday, August 6th, the finals will showcase the pinnacle of camogie talent at the iconic Croke Park.
The finals day on Sunday August 6th at Croke Park will feature three matches.
In the Senior Final, Cork secured their place after an exciting semi-final against Galway in front of a record semi-finals attendance in UPMC Nowlan Park, whilst Waterford saw off Tipperary by the narrowest of margins of just one point.
Cork will be determined to reclaim the silverware following their triumphant 2020 Final win against Galway. Waterford though will be looking to bridge a 78 year gap to reach their first All-Ireland Senior final since 1945.
Meath will take on a spirited Derry side in the Intermediate Final, while Tipperary will take on Clare in the Premier Junior Final.
Having six different counties in action on the day, and with the added excitement of a breakthrough Final appearance for Waterford should give rise to a strong attendance, while the three games will also be shown live on RTÉ TV.
“Each county has embarked on an extraordinary journey to reach this stage,” said Camogie Association President Hilda Breslin.
“May these games truly reflect the countless hours of training and unwavering commitment they have dedicated throughout the year. The Finals is not just a day for the players and their management teams; it is a day of celebration for their families, clubs, underage mentors, and schools. These invaluable supporters have nurtured and cultivated the passion, skill, and enthusiasm for the game, which we will witness in full force in Croke Park on 6th August.”
“We invite all camogie enthusiasts, sports fans and women’s sporting champions alike to join us in witnessing the crowning of champions at the 2023 Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Camogie Finals.”
