The GAA and the Camogie Association have moved swiftly and smartly to plug a gap in the Croke Park schedule due to the re-scheduling of the GAA’s All-Ireland Football Championship Semi-Final between Tyrone and Kerry.

The Camogie Association has confirmed that the Camogie All-Ireland Senior Championship Semi-Finals will now take place there instead on Sunday, August 29th.

This marks a historic occasion, as it is the first time that Croke Park Stadium has hosted the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship Semi-Finals.

“Kilkenny and Tipperary came through with two good wins in Pair Uí Chaoimh on Saturday evening and will now face Cork and Galway in the semi-finals. These exciting pairings will positively showcase our game, in a fantastic setting” said Sinead McNulty, CEO of the Camogie Association.

RTÉ will cover both matches live, as they did the Quarter Finals and there will be greater emphasis now with them having a solo run in terms of Gaelic Games coverage on that day.

The Kerry Tyrone match, as well as the Electric Ireland Minor Championship Football Final, will take place in the Stadium on the previous day.

The Camogie All Ireland Finals will be back there on Sunday, September 12th.
