Cricket Ireland has launched a revamp of its website at www.cricketireland.ie and simultaneously launched a number of new channels to communicate with fans.

The project has been two years in the making using Dublin design agency ebow and Cricket Ireland sponsor ITW. The new site has gone live today and the old site, which had been there since 2012 has now been decommissioned.

The website has been built on mobile-first principles, acknowledging that around 75 percent of website visitors come via mobile phone or tablet.

Livescoring, statistics, ticketing and other 3rd-party services are now fully integrated within the new site.

The reach out to fanbases is extended as well through the simultaneous launch of a new TikTok channel, a new Whatsapp News Group for fans and a Threads Channel.

With much of Cricket Ireland’s social traffic coming from India, Pakistan and other key cricket nations around the world this is a timely upgrading of the look, feel and service that the sport delivers.

There will be inevitable little twists and turns in getting it fully bedded in but the overall clean look of the site is good and the willingness to get stuck in to other channels where the fans are3 is noteworthy.
