There are only a few hundred tickets remaining for the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby at the Curragh on Saturday July 1st.

This year’s Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Festival will take place with a reduced capacity due to the ongoing redevelopment project, and this year’s race will be an all ticket affair.

“There are 400 tickets remaining for purchase, so booking in advance is essential to avoid disappointment,” said Curragh Racecourse CEO Derek McGrath.

Tickets for Under 16’s also need to be pre-purchased. Curragh Season Ticket holders, Curragh Premier Members, Go Racing in Kildare Members and AIR cardholders will gain access as normal.

Tweaks have been made to the operation of the temporary facilities over the course of the race meetings that have taken place at the Curragh over the past two months and the reaction of racegoers and industry players has been more positive that was feared at the outset.

The new facility, an artists impression of which can be seen above, will take two years to complete and racing continues throughout, mainly on the basis of the track, recognised as among the very best in the world remains unaffected and also to maintain the sponsorship and media relationships that underpin the commercial success of the venue and the development itself.
