Following hot on the heels of yesterday’s brilliant Squad reveal video content, Sky have unveiled their TV ad supporting the Republic of Ireland at the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
It focuses on the growing support and captures the excitement and anticipation one fan experiences, as her belief in the Women’s National Team builds in advance of the World Cup.
The ad, which will appear on multiple media platforms from today, is a representation of thousands of young fans whose belief and support in the team will grow even further this summer, as the team make history in Australia.
With Blur’s The Universal as a soundtrack, and its line that “it really, really, really could happen,” it raises the excitement levels another notch.
“Throughout our partnership with the Women’s National Team, we have been struck by their unique connection with young fans,” said Sky Ireland CEO JD Buckley.
“They are an inspiration to younger generations right across the country. That is something we wanted to bring to life through our new OUTBELIEVE TV ad.”
“Vera and her squad will make history in Australia and that will have such a positive impact on young aspiring players. As ever, we are immensely proud to support this team and we are behind them every step of the way.”
The ad is a follow up to the OUTBELIEVE brand platform developed by Core in 2022 and the new campaign will live across multiple media channels including TV, VOD, Outdoor, Digital and Social.
“OUTBELIEVE is more than just a campaign – it is the attitude and unyielding spirit of our Women’s National Team,” said Caitriona Ni Laoire, Managing Director of Core Creative.
“Their relentless pursuit knows no bounds as they defy barriers and push the limits, paving the way for the next generation, inspiring them to dream bigger and reach higher.”
“This platform, born in 2022, has resonated deeply with both the team and the fans, binding them together but this World Cup has the potential to unite the nation in unwavering belief.”
“The stage is set and we cannot wait to see to see our next chapter and the team’s World Cup journey unfold.”
The Republic of Ireland Women’s National Team will begin their World Cup campaign on July 20th, when they take on hosts, Australia, in front of a 83,000 people at Stadium Australia.
Today’s Thursday Podcast we talk with Vera Pauw about how much this group means to her and to Sky World Cup Producer Maddie Morrisson on being part of the journey.
