Mondello Park has announced Digital Motorsports as the title sponsor for the inaugural Irish Championship Circuit Racing (ICCR) season.

The three-year deal will see the series named as the “Digital Motorsports ICCR”, with the opening race meeting scheduled for June 12th and 13th at the Kildare venue.

With just over two weeks to run until the opening race meeting, there is an air of anticipation in motor racing circles and pre-season test days have been busy, with new and experienced drivers alike preparing for what could be one of the best seasons in a number of years.

Amongst the many shared initiatives in the new partnership is Digital Motorsports becoming the official simulator partner in the soon to be announced Junior Driver Development programme.

Digital Motorsports provides an easy-to-use digital platform that gives access to a comprehensive portfolio of products and services in the field of professional sim racing for all skill levels and abilities. It runs the Virtual Race Academy operating at Mondello Park.

“We are delighted to have Digital Motorsports as our partner in the ICCR,” said Mondello park Managing Director Roddy green.

“Niall and Rob have built a world-class digital motorsport business and they are a great fit for the Championship. This is such an important year for Irish Motorsport and the importance of the digital element of driver training and development has never been more prevalent.”

“Digital Motorsports are the perfect partner for the ICCR and we are looking forward to a successful partnership and to working together on some really exciting initiatives over the coming months.”
