All Ireland Champions Dublin will feature six times in Setanta Sports live coverage of the Allianz National Football League in 2016.
The capital’s hurlers will also feature three times, against Tipperary, Galway and Cork.
The schedule was revealed yesterday and includes live coverage of all four of Dublin’s Croke Park fixtures against Kerry, Cork, Monaghan and Dublin, as well as two of their three away games, against Mayo and Down.
The only Dublin game missing from the live schedule is against promoted Roscommon who do not feature at all on the Setanta schedule.
Television coverage can be a vital part of county’s securing of sponsorship to help offset the cost of managing senior teams and this exclusion from the line-up.
Donegal in Division One and Armagh in Division 2 are the only other counties to feature more than once in the Setanta Saturday night line up.
TG4 will also be carrying live games on Sunday afternoons and it is expected that this will balance out coverage for some of the other counties.
